How to create or remove hyperlinks in a PDF with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC

 

Hyperlinks are very important thing of a pdf document for various professional works. They play an important role in redirecting someone to go to a website, to go to another page, or to open a file. Here is a fine tutorial on how anyone can add a hyperlink to any specific word or image or any specific place of your choice and how to remove the hyperlink using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. Who don't know anything about how to add or remove hyperlinks will also be able to easily handle the hyperlinks.

How to add or remove a hyperlink to open a WEB page in normal text?

ADD HYPERLINK

  • At first, open the pdf you want to make a hyperlink.

  • Go to the page in which hyperlink should be placed.

  • Select the specific word or sentence or phrase or image, you want the hyperlink.

  • Right click on it and the below screen appears.

  • To add an external website as the hyperlink select "Open a web page" as the below image.

  • Then click on Next. After clicking Next you can see the following.


Put the URL you wanted to make the hyperlink. And boom! You are done! 

REMOVE HYPERLINK

When you put your mouse arrow in the hyperlinked section it will show you the link in it. Like this:

 

Here for example, I have hyperlinked to www.google.com. To remove it right click on it. You can see the following.


Click on "Delete Link" and you are done!

How to add or remove hyperlink to go to another page?

ADD HYPERLINK

Now if you want to go to another page when clicking on a certain link on a page via a hyperlink you should go through the next few paragraphs about: How to add a hyperlink to go to another page in the pdf?

  • As before select and right click on the word or sentence or image, anything may be.

  • Click on "create link".

  • Then select the go to a page view. 

  • Click on "Next". You will see the below message. 
  • Now scroll up or down where you want to go by clicking on the word/sentence you selected for the hyperlink and going to the page click in the specific place of the document to hyperlink.

  • Now click on "Set Link". You're done.

REMOVE HYPERLINK

As before to remove the hyperlink right click on the section or sentence or image and immediately you can see "Delete Link" option.

How to add or remove a hyperlink to attach a file?

Also, you can make a hyperlink to attach any file with a pdf. Similarly, after clicking on "Create Link" select "Open a File" and after clicking on "Next" you can choose your file from your computer. These were three methods for different kinds of hyperlinks with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.
